Things that annoy me as of 6/19/06

Due to the vast, huge, gigantic number of things that piss me off this is only a sampling of the actual list. A sort of favorite things that I feel I need to yell about.

#1 Cellphones... Yep this is a no-brainer to ANYONE that knows me! I hate cellphones, I LOATHE all people that use cellphones(for anything but emergency or work purposes) Damn you all!!! to the girl in the crappy red Ford Taurus that almost hit me 10 minutes ago. I don't care HOW important your cell conversation is... look for approaching cars BEFORE you back out of your parking space you Stupid %!&$##% Dumb #$%!* of a @$*$#. ::deep Breath:: continuing on...

#2 & 3 Inquisitive Idiots. These are the people that 5 seconds after talking to them ask, "are you married, do you have kids" My response that I want NEITHER is then met with awe and incredulity like I just sprouted a 2nd evil head! These are usually the SAME people that then bore the piss out of me for the next 30 min COMPLAING about their spouse & kids and telling me in general how miserable their life is etc. blah blah blah. and you think I'M a freak cause I DON'T want to put with that crap...

#4 University of South Alabama & its book store... God how I hate South! and I really hate South's Bookstore. I want Teachers to start publishing the ISBN's of the books they intend to use. this would allow me to circumvent the stupid bookstore and make my life much easier. Alas that is against South's policy of Screwing the student as much as possible and is therefore not allowed.

#5 Non-tourist foreingers that have a poor grasp of english or can't speak it at all. if you live in a country...learn to speak the language!!! If you've ever tried to give directions to a truck driver over the phone that can't speak english very well you will understand where I"m comin' from on this one! If I hear "que" one more time... and how do these people interpret road signs and so forth that are ALL in english??

#6 Idiots that blame Bush for the problems in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. 1st of all bush has a COUNTRY to run... not 1 damn city. 2nd resposibitly should fall on those most immidate to the scene for instance the MAYOR of said town! 2nd the Govenor has the abilty to call out the national guard... why wasn't she blamed. the Goverment is their for CLEAN UP! that's all. I'm from Missouri... I understand how flooding and the government assistance works. WHEN YOU LIVE BELOW SEA LEVEL YOUR FIRST PRIORITY SHOULD BE THE DYKES THAT KEEP YOU ALIVE YOU F'ING MORONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#7 Gas companys... this should actually be higher on the list. I really really really don't want to hear how lucky I am to be paying ONLY $3 a gallon for gas vs. some stupid country in Europe that pays $5 a gallon. 1st of all... to hell with all of Europe!!!(cept England they are on my good side right now). gas companys are making RECORD profits! perhaps if they made a few hundred billion less dollars(they would STILL be making a very nice profit) they could lower gas prices about a 1.50 a gallon wouldn't that be nice!!!

#8 Hollywood. Celebritys are Morons. I don't want to hear about them...there lives... there fights... there drug problems... etc. Hollywood...shut up...you're there to look pretty that's all.

In John's personal news today... My neck is better. yayyy!!! Driving is once again possible without painful contortions in order not to have to turn my head which is always fun. on the work front... I finally got full time hours at the new site, and the only problem is I don't have my 2 off days together which kinda upsets me. one day off isn't really a day off in my opinion. I did not do as well as I wanted on my 3rd test in Mass Media. I have lost my "A" in that class and now I have to hope my paper and my final can keep a "B" or get me my "A" back. Hopefully I will now have some more study time... and I can pull grade up. we'll see. Well sadly I guess thats about it. I need to do some research before doing the Equipment STDT. so I shall postpone that another week.

STDT Villains

Greetings once again... this is the page for STDT villains. now As I've already said I am going to do one battle on Klingons vs Romulans. so I need some other ideas. Khan HAS TO BE there some where... so I need at least one indvidual villain. I haven't decided yet whether or not to consider "Q" a villain or not. since sometimes he hurts and other times he helps... mmm we shall debate this out I'm sure. anyway... VILLAIN post only here thankyou!!!

OUCHHHHH

OMG my darn neck hurts. I took a muscle relaxer and 2 pain killers last night...and still couldn't get any decent sleep. my neck hurts sooooo bad right now. I'm pretty sure I can actually SEE the muscle knot bulging out the side of my neck. Heat, Massage, and Muscle relaxers don't seem to work. Somebody put me down like a lame horse PLEASE!!! In other news... I had another test Friday... I don't think I did as well on this one. a combination of generally feeling like crap and this wonderful neck pain conspired to make me not want to study much. My work situation is no better right now. currently there are still 4 people competeing for 2 open slots. I've been playing a lot of Old School Magic the Gathering on Computer lately. with all the gigs and gigs of games I have on my comp... It some of the older games like Magic and heroes 3 that occupy a good bit of my time.


Ok...as promised Uhura vs Troi

Now in the role of bridge bunny looks count. and Sorry to say Uhura just doesn't have 'em. Troi... much more so. although in Star Trek 5(god this movie sucked) Uhura does display a lovely singing voice...I am super glad thats ALL she displays. ::shiver:: The reading of emotions is much less hokey to me then the Walkin' Computer brains(ie Spock/data) so I can appreciate this character more. I wish Troi was fullblooded Telepath instead of only half useful, but still... she performs her BB duties well enough. Also I think with the crew I've assembled... There is gonna be a REAL need for a shrink on board and especially handy on the bridge. I believe the later Enterprises the Ship computer handles most of the Communications so the "radio operator" post has been rendered obsolete. Having no particular need of Racial diversity(hey... I picked Sulu!) I think this battle is officially over.

This about does it for my great STDT. I have my crew, my enterprise. Next week we shall do a brief Equipment post...who has better phasers, comlinks, tricorders and anything else I can think of. and then we shall move into the final phase of STDT... The villains. We are gonna need some villains. I know I plan already to do a Klingons vs Romulans one. but I'm gonna make a seperate post just for Ideas on Villains. please give me some input on this one... You got 2 weeks so even slackers(hail to the king) should have time to come up with some. the only ground rule is... they must be comparable in # like you can't compare Khan with the entire Borg race. so to recap...

ohhhh How I hate my current job

Of all the jobs I've worked... I do believe this job at least ties, if not exceeds, my most hated job ever. and that is a lengthy list... allow me to enlighten you as to my work history. this is the unabridged version although some names have been edited for reasons of National Security. all work years have been rounded off to the nearest .5 years.

now this adds up to roughly 15.5 years of my life...and I have very little to show for it :( of the jobs on this list...most of them I appreciate. there are exceptions of course. The Airport checkpoint where I was the ONLY white person up there and was discrimminated against and generally treated poorly by all the other employees up there including the Manager. that job I truly hated. F**** where I was ignored by everybody. I tried to call in sick one day to my manager that LITERALLY stood right next to me(within arm's reach) for over a year...and I had to give a physical discription of myself and repeat my name several times...and I'm still not sure he knew who I was. that job just depressed me... if you ever want to feel unappreciated...go work for F****. but I really feel... that Securitas is the worst job I've had. and that is truly a bold statement. Having only worked at the Airport a lil over 6 months... Is a lil unfair... I'm sure it would be #1 if I'd worked there over a year! New news on the job front. I am no longer a Lot Nazi. I report to my new post tommorow at 6am(yuck). there is also talk of Higher pay perhaps as much as a dollar more an hour...maybe more...Oh bestill my beating heart!!! well no matter what... at least it will be end of Lot Nazi days :)

Well summer semester has started. yea. History of mass media seems ok. a lil dry maybe. but I more or less expected as much. I took my 1st test today. I felt underprepared, largely cause my hours at the post suck..andI can't use time to study there:( hopefully new post... better hours, ability study, and not riding around in clown car. all of these would be a real improvement. I think I did fairly well on the test. maybe.

Sulu vs Data

Now as everybody knows I don't like talking computers. I have much the same issue with Data that I had with Spock. Data is a lil less hokey because he actually IS a computer, and I find this more acceptable. Also... I would install a Flat panel monitor and an X-box in his back and have the ultimate portable way to pass time on any long shuttle flights that I might have to endure :) Sulu as a Pilot is acceptable... he certainly displays competent abilties as such. also in Star Trek 6 he does display some Bold leadership capabilities. so I think this match is over.
