ohhhh How I hate my current job
Of all the jobs I've worked... I do believe this job at least ties, if not exceeds, my most hated job ever. and that is a lengthy list... allow me to enlighten you as to my work history. this is the unabridged version although some names have been edited for reasons of National Security. all work years have been rounded off to the nearest .5 years.
Jefferson Memorial Hospital 3.5 yrs
S**** ********** 1 yr
F**** 1.5 yr
Car Repo Assistant .5 yr
(Aircraft Cleaner person 1 day)
(Jani-King Cleaner person 1 day)
Labcorp .5 yr
Providence Hospital 2 yr
Airport Checkpoint .5 yr
Loomis Fargo 4.5 yr
Securitas 1.5 yr
now this adds up to roughly 15.5 years of my life...and I have very little to show for it :( of the jobs on this list...most of them I appreciate. there are exceptions of course. The Airport checkpoint where I was the ONLY white person up there and was discrimminated against and generally treated poorly by all the other employees up there including the Manager. that job I truly hated. F**** where I was ignored by everybody. I tried to call in sick one day to my manager that LITERALLY stood right next to me(within arm's reach) for over a year...and I had to give a physical discription of myself and repeat my name several times...and I'm still not sure he knew who I was. that job just depressed me... if you ever want to feel unappreciated...go work for F****. but I really feel... that Securitas is the worst job I've had. and that is truly a bold statement. Having only worked at the Airport a lil over 6 months... Is a lil unfair... I'm sure it would be #1 if I'd worked there over a year! New news on the job front. I am no longer a Lot Nazi. I report to my new post tommorow at 6am(yuck). there is also talk of Higher pay perhaps as much as a dollar more an hour...maybe more...Oh bestill my beating heart!!! well no matter what... at least it will be end of Lot Nazi days :)
Well summer semester has started. yea. History of mass media seems ok. a lil dry maybe. but I more or less expected as much. I took my 1st test today. I felt underprepared, largely cause my hours at the post suck..andI can't use time to study there:( hopefully new post... better hours, ability study, and not riding around in clown car. all of these would be a real improvement. I think I did fairly well on the test. maybe.
time now for much delayed STDT
Sulu vs Data
Now as everybody knows I don't like talking computers. I have much the same issue with Data that I had with Spock. Data is a lil less hokey because he actually IS a computer, and I find this more acceptable. Also... I would install a Flat panel monitor and an X-box in his back and have the ultimate portable way to pass time on any long shuttle flights that I might have to endure :) Sulu as a Pilot is acceptable... he certainly displays competent abilties as such. also in Star Trek 6 he does display some Bold leadership capabilities. so I think this match is over.
Sulu ***
Data **
STDT now stands
Ship Enterprise C
Capt Kirk
1st officer (Riker/Spock)
Doctor Bones
Chief Engineer Scotty
Security Officer Worf
Pilot Sulu
I believe Next week we shall have the battle of the "Bridge Bunnies" ... Uhura vs Troi

This is a difficult one. These two individuals are really not equal. And contrary to some peoples opinions haveing a "walking computer" is essential to the success of a mission. If you choose Riker over Spock then Data is a must. If you have Spock, then you can go with the talented helmsmen Sulu. But the question is....Can Data fly a Huey?...I dont think so. Data is very handy in a tight spot on away missions and when learning his chief enginner on how do do his job. But Data is operations officer and third in command, Sulu is simply the helmsman, and a good one at that. This might be a cheap answer, but I think theres room for both on the ship.
And FYI, Its Troi
no there is NOT room for both...if I had to get rid of Checkov, a character I love, then their is NOT room for both. Its one or the other...Wuss! 2nd the only talkin' computer necessary for any away team type mission is the HAND-HELD variety. You people and your F'n Talkin' computers. to me its a hokey idea. Although as I said... At least Data actually IS a walkin' computer so his character is more appreciated and respected than Spocks(The King of Cheese) I might put Data in with the equipment comparissons when I get to that if you simply must have computer boy along.
The Scary laugh was not factored in in my orginal scoring... Interesting thought. I refuse to have discussion involving "Mr. Tricorder" for any reason. I did forget to mention one more strike against Data... he likes cats. Since I think Cats are a waste of fur much like Tribbles, and all should be shunted out the nearest airlock, Sulu actually wins by an either futher margin of victory.
I enjoyed your other comments as well. cept the Piccard one. only losers like Piccard :P
Tribbles ROCK!!!
Only losers like Picard!? I Sir, am NOT a loser and you know for a fact I like Picard. At least he wasn't as egotistical as Kirk. He managed to stay on good terms with his crew rather than insist the camara be pointed on him at all times like Kirk. Kirk's "crew" couldn't stand him when the camara's weren't rolling. Picard ROCKS!
Futhermore, I agree with Sir Fishbane. If you won't have Spock then you must have Data. Checov and his "nuclear wessels" can bite me.
I must agree too that Sulu has a great maniacal laugh. I say throw in Spock, dump Data (hard choice but it must be made), keep Sulu and don't even consider Checkov.
I would take Tribbles over Cats anyday... but they are still worthless... Unless you can make coats out of them.
Checkov IS gone...Unfortuneately. AND SO IS DATA!!! SULU made it. PICCARD IS GONE AS WELL... geez people...try to keep up. The spock/riker debate is the ONLY contested battle, and it shall remain the only contested one. I don't think Kirk needs spock. He has a ship computer. and He knows his job... to say he Needs Spock is retarded. Kirk is THE capt. He Leads...the others follow. that's the way it is. Kirk has to continually kick Spock in the pants(figuratively) to get Spock;s sorry behind to do anything...I"m specifically thinkin' of several occasions in the 4th movie... where Spock just seems lost or lethargic.
and No Linda... You are not a loser... although if you weren't such a cool chic... Your love of Capt. Crusty would raise some doubts in my mind... I was refering specifically to Steve-O with the Piccard/loser comment!
I do not recall a dollar in the bra incident. But I am curious as to whether this is the Steve that I had bowling class with.
To Steve:
Damn Dude, you went from one entry to seven in one night. I didn't know who the hell you were last night, but today I can see that you are indeed the Steve I remember.
Yes, this is Linda Sue from U.S.A,
